Coronavirus Disease and PMBs

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that are common in many different species of animals, including camels, cattle, cats, and bats. These viruses cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as bronchitis, pneumonia and respiratory and multi-organ failure.

Chrons disease and ulcerative colitis and pmbs

Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and are the two main forms of inflammatory bowel diseases. The conditions are characterized by chronic inflammation of the digestive tract. Ulcerative colitis is usually limited to the colon (the large bowel) and rectum, while Crohn’s disease may involve the stomach but typically involves the small bowel and beginning of the large bowel. In Crohn’s disease, there are healthy parts of the intestine mixed in-between inflamed areas. Ulcerative colitis, on the other hand, is continuous inflammation of the colon. Ulcerative colitis only affects the innermost lining of the colon while Crohn’s disease can occur in all the layers of the bowel walls.

COPD & PMBs

COPD is one of the leading causes of illness and deaths in the world. It is estimated that there are currently over 280 million cases globally. The number of COPD cases is projected to rise in the near future, owing to increased exposure to risk factors and population ageing.

Bipolar and pmbs

Bipolar mood disorder, commonly called bipolar, is a type of mood disorder. It used to be called manic
depression and the term is still often used. If you suffer from bipolar, you go from feeling sad,
hopeless, helpless and worthless (depression) to feeling on top of the world, hyperactive, creative, irritable and grandiose (mania) either very often, or within short periods of time. The disease is called bipolar mood disorder because your mood alternates between opposite poles, namely euphoric happiness and extreme sadness.

Bi Polar Algorithm

A disorder associated with episodes of mood swings ranging from depressive lows to manic highs. The exact cause of bipolar disorder isn’t known, but a combination of genetics, environment and altered brain structure and chemistry may play a role. Manic episodes may include symptoms such as high energy, reduced need for sleep and loss of touch with reality. Depressive episodes may include symptoms such as low energy, low motivation and loss of interest in daily activities. Mood episodes last days to months at a time and may also be associated with suicidal thoughts. Treatment is usually lifelong and often involves a combination of medications and psychotherapy.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and PMBs

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder (disorder of brain function) that typically starts in childhood. The condition may extend into adulthood, however adult ADHD is less common. Statistics indicate that 30 to 50 percent of those diagnosed with ADHD in childhood will continue to display symptoms into adulthood.

Asthma and pneumonia and pmbs

Asthma is a condition caused by the inflammation of air passages in the lungs. The condition is characterised by repeated attacks of breathlessness and wheezing. The severity and frequency of attacks varies from one person to the next.

Asthma & pmbs

Asthma is a disease affecting the airways that carry air to and from the lungs. Asmatic airways are usually swollen or inflamed on inside walls. This swelling or inflammation causes the airways to be extremely sensitive to irritation and increases the susceptibility to allergic reactions. As inflammation causes the airways to become narrower, less air can pass through the lungs making it difficult to breathe. Asthma is an incurable illness, however, with good treatment and management, a person with asthma can live a normal and active life.
